Meet Merrick
Merrick McCartha walked away from a six-figure engineering career because he refused to trade his soul for a paycheck.
That decision cost him comfort, security, and years of grinding from the bottom up. He'd do it again without hesitation.
Today he's part of the 3%, the actors who pay their bills from acting alone. Not because he got lucky. Because the engineer in him never left. He treats his career like a system: study it, build it, run it.
He trains with Gregory Berger at Berg Studios. Berg is a graduate and former faculty member of the Yale School of Drama. Merrick has also trained with Rob Clare of the Royal Shakespeare Company, and he spent over eight years with the Road Theatre Company, where he still works today.
Merrick serves on the Executive Committee of the Television Academy's Performers Peer Group.
